Used warehouse storage here comes from distribution centers, manufacturers and retailers that are moving, consolidating or closing a building. Listings include selective pallet racking, uprights and beams, wire decking, cantilever rack, shelving units, mezzanines and bins, along with pallet jacks, hand trucks, storage containers, IBC totes and facility equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers and conveyors. Every listing is local pickup: you inspect it, run it and pay at the seller's yard.

What to look for in used warehouse storage

  • Upright height and depth, beam length, and the capacity rating from the label or the maker's chart.
  • Bent, dented or twisted uprights: a damaged upright should not go back into service.
  • Beam connectors and safety clips, and whether they match the uprights you already own.
  • Wire decking and row spacers, and whether they are included in the price.
  • Who takes it down: some sellers dismantle it, others expect you to bring a crew and a lift.

What used warehouse storage sell for

Used selective pallet rack typically sells by the section or by the piece, with uprights and beam pairs from the tens of dollars to the low hundreds each. Shelving units and wire decking usually run lower, and mezzanines from the low to high thousands depending on size.

Questions buyers ask

Is used pallet racking safe?
Yes, when the uprights are straight, the beams are not bent and you stay within the rated capacity. Inspect every upright, replace damaged pieces, and anchor the rack to the floor as the maker specifies.
Will used beams fit my existing racking?
Only if the connector style matches. Teardrop is the most common pattern, but slot shape and spacing vary by maker, so bring a photo of your upright or a sample beam.
Do I need a permit to install racking?
Some cities require one for racking above a certain height, and fire code governs flue spaces and sprinkler clearance. Check with your building and fire officials before installing tall rack.
How do I move a large lot of racking?
Plan for a forklift or lift to take it down, a flatbed or trailer, and plenty of straps. Count uprights and beams against the listing on site before you load.
