Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 11, 2026
1. Our Commitment
YardSwaps LLC is committed to making the YardSwaps website and mobile applications (collectively, the “Platform”) usable by the widest possible audience, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, switch devices, magnification, and voice control. Accessibility is treated as part of our normal development process, not a one-time project.
2. Standards We Target
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our design and development target for the website, and the platform accessibility guidance published by Apple and Google (including support for VoiceOver, TalkBack, and system text scaling) for our iOS and Android apps. We work toward these standards continuously and re-audit as the Platform changes.
3. What We Have Built
Measures currently in place include: text labels and roles on interactive controls so screen readers can identify them; spoken announcements for status messages and alerts; focus containment in dialogs and overlays; support for enlarged system text sizes; a color system checked for contrast in both light and dark themes; and keyboard-reachable controls on the website.
4. Known Limitations
Some content on the Platform is created by users, such as listing photos and descriptions provided by sellers. That content may not always include text alternatives or meet the standards above, and we cannot fully control it. Some older areas of the website are still being brought up to our current target. If you encounter a barrier anywhere on the Platform, we want to know about it.
5. Feedback and Alternative Access
If you have difficulty accessing any part of the Platform, or if you need information from the Platform in an alternative format, email support@yardswaps.com with the subject line “Accessibility”. Please describe the problem, the page or screen where it happened, and the assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within 2 business days and will work with you in good faith to provide the information or complete the task you were attempting through an alternative method.
6. Compatibility
The website is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) in combination with current screen readers. The mobile apps are designed for currently supported versions of iOS and Android and their built-in assistive technologies.
7. Continuous Improvement
We periodically review the Platform against the standards above, prioritize fixes for barriers that block core tasks (browsing, listing, messaging, and account management), and update this statement as our accessibility work progresses.
